Experience
I have been lucky enough to work with Children and Young People who have social, emotional and mental health needs for over fourteen years now. I am currently a School Based Counsellor in one of Jersey’s secondary schools and have been working privately alongside this role for six years.
I have accessed training on, and have experience working with a number of difficulties such as self-harming, OCD, depression, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety/separation anxiety, loss and bereavement, suicidal thoughts, bullying, relationship breakdowns, selective mutism, exam stress, eating disorders and challenging behaviour.
I have previously worked in two secondary schools in Jersey, gaining experience supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health issues. I have also worked within a States of Jersey service providing counselling support to children and young people aged between eleven and twenty-five years old. In addition, I have experience working for a Jersey-based charity supporting individuals who have experienced sexual abuse.
